Mildred Munson Douglass (1908-1988)

Mildred Jennie (Munson) Douglass, 79, of San Bernardino, California, died Friday morning, January 29, 1988, in Houston, Texas, at the home of her son.  She was born March 16, 1908 in S. Lee, Massachusetts, daughter of Fred Alonzo Munson and Fannie Agusta Dustin.  In 1926 she married Herbert Edgar Douglass of Chicopee, Massachusetts, celebrating their 56th Anniversary in 1982 at their home in Orlando, Florida. 

She is survived by her five sons: Herbert Edgar Douglass Jr of Weimar, California; James Munson Douglass of E. Norwalk, Ohio; Richard Curtiss Douglass and Gerald Robert Douglass, both of Riverside, California; and Melvyn Wayne Douglass of Houston, Texas.

She is also remembered by 13 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 1988, at Montecito Memorial Park in San Bernardino, California.  The family suggests that Memorial expressions be made to the  American Cancer Society.
