 COPPERAS COVE — Services for Margaret “Peg” McKay, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Copperas Cove. Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. She died June 20, 2005, in Killeen.

Mrs. McKay was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, the daughter of the late William and Ellen McCauley Burton. She was raised and educated in Northern Ireland.  She had lived in the Copperas Cove area since 1966.  She was a recipient of the Molly Pitcher Award and was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include her husband, Ivor McKay Sr. of Copperas Cove; two sons, Ivor McKay Jr. of Virginia and John McKay of Copperas Cove; a daughter, Margaret Crowder of Warm Springs, Ga.; a brother, Leonard Burton of Ireland; and a sister, Ruth Burton of Ireland; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
